Acorda's commitment to improving neurological function goes beyond developing therapies. We participates in medical, financial and advocacy events throughout the year. These activities facilitate communication among healthcare professionals and patients about our products and research, update investors about our business, and provide support to advocacy groups who serve the same patient communities we do.

As the company has grown, our support and involvement in the National MS Society's Walk MS program has also increased. Our involvement goes beyond sponsorship. We created the "I Walk Because" program, which is featured at many of the NMSS's regional MS Walks around the U.S. In this program, participants share with others their reasons for walking - by making videos or designing personalized T-shirts at our "I Walk Because" booths. These are then posted on the I Walk Because website, which lets people in the MS community connect with others around the country. Each year, a majority of Acorda's associates have participated in staffing our booths. This has given us the opportunity to interact personally with people in the MS community, so that we can connect our corporate mission with the real world needs of patients and their families.
