2014 AVA Digital Awards
Acorda is committed to maintaining a meaningful connection with the patient communities we serve and provide resources beyond medication. Our efforts were recently recognized at the 2014 AVA Digital Awards, where our company website, Acorda.com, and DreamsTheEBook.com both received Gold awards. Our interactive mobile app MS Self™ received a Platinum award and our patient-management website, designed to help patients with MS actively manage their disease, MoveOverMS.org received an Honorable Mention. 2014 American Business Awards
Acorda’s Communications team received a Silver Stevie Award for Communications Department of the Year. 2014 Executive Management Awards
Andrew Blight, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer, was recognized by SmartCEO’s Executive Management Awards as one of the best C-suite executives in the Greater New York area. Honored for his leadership/mentoring style, Dr. Blight, who has been with Acorda for nearly 20 years, says, “I try to manage as I wish to be managed; as lightly as possible, while still vigorously questioning assumptions and traditions. I do not set out to inspire, but the right team attacking a worthwhile enterprise generates its own inspiration, if it is given the responsibility.” An independent committee of local business leaders reviews the Executive Management Awards nominations, and winners are chosen based on the quality of the nominations submitted.
2013 Davey Awards
The Ampyra (dalfampridine) professional website won a Silver Davey Award for Best Pharma Site, while the Ampyra (dalfampridine) consumer website won three Silver Davey Awards – Best Pharma Site, Best Design, and Best Content. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas rather than stratospheric budgets. The Davey Award is geared towards smaller organizations and is all about intelligence, out-of-the-box thinking, and exceptional execution.
Small Business Success – The Westchester County 2014 Business Hall of Fame Awards
Acorda received the 2014 Small Business Success Award from the Business Council of Westchester. The Westchester County Business Hall of Fame Award is a lifetime achievement award presented to 5 esteemed Westchester County businesses/individuals in the categories of Small Business Success, Entrepeneurial Success, Family Business Success, Women in Business Success and Corporate Citizenship.

2013 Nielsen Norman Group Intranet Design Annual Winner
The Nielsen Norman Group is an American consulting and research firm specializing in user experience, focusing on how to make user interfaces that are easy, pleasant and efficient to use. Nielsen holds an annual intranet design challenge, with companies from across the world submitting their intranet systems. Acorda was one of ten winners of the 2013 award.

2011 Accolade Award of Merit
The “Southern California Challenge Walk MS Documentary,” sponsored by Acorda and produced in partnership with StudioPMG, received the 2011 Accolade Award of Merit in the webisode category. The documentary follows Team OptiMiStic, a group of seven women, five of whom have multiple sclerosis (MS), as they share their experiences with MS over a 50-mile, three day MS Challenge Walk held by the National MS Society. The documentary can be viewed at the I Walk Because website. The Accolade recognizes producers, established and emerging, who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity.
32nd Annual Telly Awards
Acorda won two awards in conjunction with the 32nd Annual Telly Awards. A Bronze Telly award was received for its “Southern California Challenge Walk MS” documentary and another Bronze Telly was received in the public relations category for its “Employee Profiles” videos that appear on the Company’s corporate website www.acorda.com. The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web.
